I personally think an Outline shouldn’t harm a story in any way, but I agree that it’s wrong to tell people that you need an outline to make a story work. I’ve lost count of the awful books that I have read, and ones with terrible grammar too. They don’t treat it like a job and try to wipe out the competition.
